Customer experience
- Mobile: Customers that select TWINT and tap Pay now at checkout on their mobile device are sent directly to their TWINT mobile app where they can approve the payment.
- Desktop: Customers that select TWINT and click Pay now at checkout on their desktop device are presented with a new window that displays a QR code and an authorization code. The customer can choose to scan the QR code using their TWINT mobile app or enter the authorization code manually in their TWINT mobile app.
- POS: Customers that select TWINT at a Shopify POS terminal are presented with a QR code. The customer scans the QR code using their device's camera app to complete the payment, rather than the TWINT app or a bank app, which might not recognize the QR code's URL.
