Charging the Verifone Victa Mobile
The Verifone Victa Mobile ships partially charged. Before using the Verifone Victa Mobile for the first time, charge the device until the battery reaches 100%. You can plug it in with the Universal Serial Bus (USB) cable and power adapter from the box, or charge it using the compatible charging dock. A full charge from empty takes approximately 2 to 3 hours. Use the power adapter and plug that match the requirements for your country.
The LED indicator displays one of the following charging statuses:
- Red: Charging
- Green: Fully charged
You can also charge the Verifone Victa Mobile using the Shopify POS Hub with the USB-A to USB-C cable included with the Victa Mobile. Plug the USB-A connector into a peripheral USB-A port on the POS Hub, and then plug the USB-C connector into the Victa Mobile. You must connect the Victa Mobile to your hub using a different USB-C port than the port that you use to connect your tablet.
Charge the Victa Mobile regularly to ensure that it's always ready to process transactions. Avoid letting the battery charge fall below 10% for extended periods, as this can permanently reduce battery capacity.
Accessories for the Verifone Victa Mobile
You can use the optional dock accessory to charge the Victa Mobile and to connect it to a wired Ethernet network. The dock isn't required for countertop payment terminal mode. In countertop payment terminal mode, you pair the Victa Mobile with a separate phone or tablet that runs Shopify POS.
Use Verifone-approved accessories with the Victa Mobile so that your setup is supported.

Setting up the Victa Mobile
Step 1: Power on the Victa Mobile
Press and hold the power button until the screen lights up. The Verifone logo, and then the Android logo displays.
Step 2: Connect the Victa Mobile to your network
When prompted, connect the Victa Mobile to your network. Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password, or connect to a wired Ethernet network through the optional dock accessory. The device needs a stable internet connection throughout the setup.
If you use the Victa Mobile in countertop payment terminal mode with a separate phone or tablet, then connect both the Victa Mobile and that device to the same local network, whether over Wi-Fi or wired Ethernet.
Step 3: Note down the three-word registration code
After the Victa Mobile connects to your network, the device displays a unique 3-word registration code. Note down the registration code, or leave the registration code screen visible for the next step.
If the registration code screen isn't displayed right away, then wait up to 60 seconds.
Step 4: Register the Victa Mobile in Shopify
You can't complete registration on the Victa Mobile itself. When the Victa Mobile displays the registration code, continue registration from the Shopify POS app or the Point of Sale channel in your Shopify admin on a separate phone, tablet, or computer.
Steps:
- To register the Victa Mobile in Shopify, do one of the following actions:
- In the Shopify admin, go to the Point of Sale channel, and then click Devices > Add Victa Mobile.
- In the Shopify POS app, tap
> + Add hardware > Victa Mobile.
- Enter the registration code exactly as it's displayed on the Victa Mobile screen.
- Select the store location where you use the device.
- Tap Register device.
Step 5: Wait for apps to install
After you register the Victa Mobile in Shopify, the device downloads and installs the Shopify POS app and payment software. This step usually takes 5 to 10 minutes. Keep the device plugged into a power source and connected to your network. Don't power off the Victa Mobile during this step. The device might restart several times during updates.
Step 6: Choose your starting mode
When the install completes, the device prompts you to choose Use as countertop terminal for countertop payment terminal mode or Use as mobile POS for mobile selling mode. Learn more about selling modes on the Verifone Victa Mobile.
