Requirements for using the Verifone Victa Mobile with Shopify POS

The Victa Mobile is available in the following supported countries:

• United States
• Canada
• United Kingdom
• Ireland

To use the Verifone Victa Mobile, you must meet the following payment requirements:

• You use Shopify POS for in-person sales.
• Your payment provider is Shopify Payments, and test mode is turned off.
• Your store and physical retail locations are in a Shopify Payments supported country for Shopify POS, and the Verifone Victa Mobile is available for purchase in that country.
• Your store and physical retail locations are in the same country.
• Your store's currency needs to match the local currency of your physical store's location.
• Your store's currency must match your Shopify Payments payout bank account currency.

To use the Verifone Victa Mobile in mobile selling mode or countertop payment terminal mode, make sure that your network meets the following requirements:

• You have set up your network for Shopify POS.
• You have connected the Victa Mobile to your local network, either over Wi-Fi or over wired Ethernet through the dock accessory.
• If you connect over Wi-Fi, then the network must support 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi. Guest Wi-Fi and captive portal networks can block device registration or pairing. Use a network that lets the terminal complete setup without an extra browser sign-in step.
• The Victa Mobile doesn't list networks that require Protected Management Frames (PMF), including WPA3-only networks. Use a network that makes PMF optional, such as a WPA2 network, a network in WPA3 transition mode, a separate SSID that doesn't require PMF, or a secured hotspot.

If you use a separate phone or tablet to run Shopify POS with the Victa Mobile docked in countertop payment terminal mode, then you must connect the Victa Mobile and that POS device to the same local network. This applies whether the Victa Mobile connects over Wi-Fi or over wired Ethernet through the dock.

Wired Ethernet connectivity is available through the dock accessory.

If you use the Verifone Victa Mobile in countertop payment terminal mode and run Shopify POS on a separate device, then the phone or tablet that you use must meet the following requirements:

• The device is an iPhone or iPad running on iOS version 15.1 or higher, or an Android device running on version 10 or higher.
• The device runs Shopify POS version 11.10 or higher.
