Shop Website

The Shop website allows customers to discover and purchase from your Shop store, accessible through https://shop.app/, regardless of their device, and even if they don't have the Shop app installed.

Display your Shop Store on the Shop Website

By activating the Shop channel, your store is synchronized to the Shop app and the Shop Website. This ensures a seamless shopping experience for your customers. There are no additional steps required to display your store and products on the Shop Website.

FAQ

Find answers to frequently asked questions about the Shop Website:

Can I customize the way my store appears on the Shop Website?

When you customize your store in the Shop Store editor, the same branding, products, collections and navigation display on both the Shop app and Shop website. You can't make different features or products available on only the Shop app or Shop website.

Will the Shop Website be displayed on search engines such as Google?

Yes. By default, your Shop.app storefront is indexed by search engines, such as Google and Bing, helping customers discover your products through organic search. This can increase your visibility and drive more traffic to your Shop storefront.

If you prefer to keep your Shop.app pages out of search results, then you can deactivate search engine indexing in your Shop channel settings. Learn more about managing search engine indexing for Shop.

Why are my customers being directed to the Shop website?

Customers are directed to the Shop website in the following cases:

  • If they don't have the Shop app installed.
  • If they open a Shop promotional offer from a Shop Campaign on their desktop device.
  • If they've earned Shop Cash and want to view their Shop Cash balance.

Shop Cash and Shop promotional offers are exclusively available in Shop, and not on your online store. Customers must be signed in to view their Shop Cash balance, and to use or benefit from a Shop promotional offer.
