Managing store details
From the Settings > General page of your Shopify admin, you can edit and update details about your store, such as the store name and address.
The General page of your Shopify admin settings has the following sections:
- Business details: Review and manage your legal business entity in this section, such as your store country, business type, phone number, business representatives, and email address. Learn more about managing business entities.
- Store contact details: Manage store contact information, such as store name, phone number, email address, and business address. Customers can view this information on your store and policy pages.
- Store defaults: Manage your default currency, currency formatting, measurement and weight units, and time zone in this section.
- Order ID: Format your order IDs in this section.
- Order processing: Manage order processing settings in this section.
- Store assets: Manage branding for your store in this section.
- Resources: Access additional Shopify resources, such as the Shopify changelog, keyboard shortcuts for navigating the admin, and the store activity log in this section.
- Organizations and store transfers: Change who owns your store by transferring ownership to a new owner (whether they're part of your organization or not), or group your store into an organization in this section.

Manage store details
You can update your store's name, email address, and phone number. This information is public, and your customers might view this information in your store and policies. The email address that you provide is the email address that customers can use to contact you. You must provide an email address in the Store contact details section.
You can also choose to add a phone number for customers to provide additional customer service. This setting is optional.
Changing your store name doesn't change your default myshopify.com domain name. Learn more about choosing a new myshopify.com domain name.
Steps:
Desktop
From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > General.
In the Store contact details section, click your store name, or click > for your store name.
On the Store contact details page, edit your store name, store email, or store phone number.
Click Save.
Mobile
From the Shopify app, tap
, and then tap
Settings.
In the Store settings section, tap General.
In the Store contact details section, tap your store name.
On the Store contact details page, edit your store name, store email, or store phone number.
Tap Save or ✓.
Change your store address
Your store address is public, and your customers might view this information on marketing emails, packaging slips, and policy pages. The store address must be in the same country as your business entity address.
Changing your store's country might affect the following details:
- Your subscription fees and billing currency.
- The local language and currency for your store.
- Your tax and duty obligations.
- Shipping availability.
- Your access to Shopify products and services.
The Shopify Terms of Service require you to maintain an accurate location based on your current jurisdiction.
Your legal name and business address are displayed on your bill. With the correct name and address listed on your Shopify bill, you might be able to claim Shopify as a business expense.
If your store uses financial services such as Shopify Payments, Shopify Balance, Shopify Capital, or Shopify Credit, then you need to deactivate all financial services before you can change your store's country in your Shopify admin.
Steps:
Desktop
From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > General.
In the Store contact details section, click > for Store address.
Edit the address, and then click Save.
Mobile
From the Shopify app, tap
, and then tap
Settings.
In the Store settings section, tap General.
In the Store contact details section, tap > for Store address.
Enter your address.
Tap Save or ✓.
