Exporting your Shopify bills
You can export a single Shopify bill or you can export your detailed billing statement history for a specific date range from the Settings > Billing section of your Shopify admin.
You can also view and export a statement of charges for a specific time frame.
Export a bill
To keep a record of your bills and access a detailed breakdown of your charges, you can export bills in either CSV or PDF format. If you choose PDF, then the exported document contains the following sections:
- An overview of the charges on your bill
- A detailed breakdown of all the charges on your bill
The overview section provides a summary of the total amount for the bill, along with a calculation of how the total amount is added up from your Shopify subscription cost, app charges, other charges, and taxes. You can find important details such as billing periods, your store name, payment method, and the types of charges. This section might also include notices regarding upcoming payments or specific requirements, such as reverse charge VAT for certain regions or countries.
Steps:
From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Billing.
In the Past bills section, click the bill that you want to export.
Click Export bill.
In the Export bill dialog, select either of the following document options:
- CSV for Excel, Numbers, or other spreadsheet programs
Click Export bill.
Export your billing history
To view or save your Shopify account's billing history, you can export your bills as a CSV file. The CSV file is sent to the email address on your Shopify account. You can export your billing data over any time range, going back to the date that you created your Shopify account.
Steps:
From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Billing.
In the Past bills section, click
> Export bills.
In the Export bills dialog, select either of the following options:
- To export only the bills that you can view in the first page of the table in the Past bills section, select Current page.
- To export bills from a start date and end date that you set, select Bills by date.
Click Export bills.
View charges in a specific time frame
You can view a Statement of charges billing report that summarizes all the charges on your Shopify account for any date range within the last 90 days. This includes subscription fees, app charges, shipping fees, and third-party transaction fees.
Steps:
From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Billing.
In the Statement of charges section, click View summary.
Optional: To view charges in a specific time frame, click Last 90 days, and then do either of the following:
- Click the Date range drop-down menu, then select one of the pre-defined date ranges, and then click Apply.
- Use the calendar to select a start date and an end date for a custom date range, and then click Apply.
Optional: To export or print your statement of charges, click Export or Print.
