Collect payment for a Quick Sale using a payment link
You can generate a payment link QR code for a Quick Sale that the customer can scan using their device to open a secure payment link. Similar to a draft order direct checkout link, the customer can then complete the payment on their mobile device using their preferred accelerated payment method or paying by credit card.
Before collecting payment for a Quick Sale using a payment link, review the following considerations:
- Quick Sales are inventory-aware and prevent overselling. If you try to generate a payment link for a Quick Sale containing out of stock items, then a "Payment link unavailable" message displays advising you to restock or remove the affected items.
- If the Quick Sale contains multiple discounts, then percentage discounts are converted to their amount off values, and the discounts are combined and display as a single amount off discount in the payment link checkout.
- Shipping details can be left blank when a customer chooses to pay using a payment link. If shipping details aren't manually configured before sending the payment link, then your customer can submit their own shipping details and select a shipping rate themselves, similar to the Shopify Checkout experience for an online order.
