Process a Quick Sale in the Shopify app
You can create a Quick Sale in the Shopify app and accept payments using Tap to Pay, payment links, or cash. Creating a Quick Sale offers you a fast method for processing simple transactions from your mobile device without using the Shopify POS app or requiring any separate POS hardware.
You can do the following actions during a Quick Sale:
- Add or remove existing products, either manually or using your device's camera as a barcode scanner.
- Create custom amounts for one-time charges and add them to the Quick Sale.
- Apply amount off or percentage discounts to the entire Quick Sale.
- Add shipping details to the Quick Sale to offer a buy-now, ship-later option for customers.
- Activate or deactivate taxes for the entire Quick Sale.
- Add a note to the Quick Sale.
- Clear the cart to reset the Quick Sale to an empty state.
- Activate or deactivate tips during payment for the Quick Sale.
- Collect payment using Tap to Pay, a payment link, or by marking the Quick Sale as paid with cash.
- Send an email or SMS receipt to a customer, which associates the customer with the Quick Sale.
- Review the transaction history of orders placed using the Quick Sale feature.
- Issue a refund for a Quick Sale.
