Updating an order

Updating Shopify POS orders lets you make changes to order details after they've been created. You can use the Shopify POS app to add notes, update or remove customer information, and manage orders as needed.

Use this guide to learn what can be updated on an order and how to make those changes.

Add a note to an order

Order notes display on an order's details screen, and they're useful for attaching additional information about an order. You can attach a note to an order for the following reasons:

  1. From Shopify POS, tap the Order icon.

  2. Tap an order to view its details screen, and then tap Add note.

  3. Enter your note and then tap Save.

The note displays on the order details screen. You can edit the note by tapping Edit beside ORDER NOTES.
