Requirements for using the Epson TM-m30II receipt printer

Before you set up the Epson TM-m30II receipt printer with Shopify POS, make sure that your store and devices meet the following hardware and software requirements:

  • You use Shopify POS.

  • You have a compatible iPad running iOS 15 or higher, an iPhone running iOS 15 or higher, or a compatible Android device running version 10 or higher.

  • For USB connection, you need a USB-B cable with a USB-B plug. You can connect directly to Android devices, or connect to an iPad through the Shopify POS Hub.

  • For an Ethernet connection, you need an Ethernet cable.

Considerations when using the Epson TM-m30II receipt printer

Wi-Fi isn't supported for the Epson TM-m30II receipt printer with Shopify POS. You can connect using Bluetooth, Ethernet, USB-B directly to Android devices, or USB-B through the Shopify POS Hub to an iPad.

Requirements for the Epson TM-m30II receipt printer paper

Shopify POS only supports 80mm receipt paper with the Epson TM-m30II receipt printer. 57mm paper isn't supported.

Any thermal paper rolls with the following dimensions work with the printer:

  • Width is 3 1/8" (80mm)
  • Length is no more than 230 feet (70m)

The Epson TM-m30II receipt printer and printer paper are available from the Shopify Hardware Store in supported countries.

If you're in an unsupported country and want to use the Epson TM-m30III receipt printer, then you must purchase it from a third-party seller.
