Shop Campaigns requirements and compliance guidelines
Your store needs to meet certain requirements and stay compliant with Shopify's policies to advertise using Shop Campaigns. If your store is flagged as ineligible to use Shop Campaigns, then review the tips to resolve Shop Campaign compliance issues.
Requirements for using Shop Campaigns
To use Shop Campaigns, your store needs to meet the following requirements:
- Your business and markets meet the following regional requirements:
- Your business address is based in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, the United Kingdom, or the United States.
- You have at least one market that includes one of the supported countries.
- Shopify Payments is set up on your store and accepts AUD, CAD, EUR, GBP, or USD.
- If you want to advertise to customers outside of your primary market, then you must have international sales tools set up to display prices in customers' local currency. For example, if your store is located in the United States and you want to target Canadian customers, then you need to add Canada as a market to your store.
- You have Sell directly on Shop with direct checkout activated in the Shop channel.
- Your store has Shopify Network Intelligence activated.
- Your store complies with applicable trust, safety, and fraud prevention guidelines, including the following requirements and policies:
- Your store complies with the rules and standards of Shop’s third-party advertising partners.
- You have a valid payment method set up for Shopify billing.
- Your store isn't password protected.

Resolving Shop Campaigns compliance issues
Shop Campaigns evaluates your store on an ongoing basis to ensure that you're compliant with all policies and meet the eligibility requirements. If your store becomes non-compliant, then you can't create new campaigns, and any active campaigns are paused.
If a banner in your admin indicates that your store isn't eligible to advertise on Shop, then follow the prompts in the banner to resolve the issue. You should also review the following guidance to prevent future compliance issues:
- Ensure that your store meets all of the requirements for using Shop Campaigns, and if prompted, resolve any open policy or compliance issues flagged on your store.
- Secure your account by taking the following steps:
- Verify your Shopify account email address.
- Turn on two-step authentication, and set up a passkey.
- Complete Shopify identity verification if you're prompted to do so.
- Maintain a strong business track record with the following practices:
- Keep your chargeback rate low by fulfilling orders promptly. Learn more about preventing chargebacks.
- Pay your Shopify bills on time to keep your account in good standing.
