Building a Shopify store with v0 by Vercel
v0 by Vercel is an independent company that builds an online storefront from your prompts and connects it to Shopify. v0 builds the storefront, and your products, inventory, checkout, payments, taxes, and orders run on Shopify.
For how v0 compares to the other partners that build stores on Shopify, and for what you manage in your Shopify admin after your store is live, refer to building a store with a vibe code partner.

Creating or connecting a store with v0 by Vercel
v0 can create a new Shopify store for you, or connect a store that you already own.
When v0 creates a store, the store exists on Shopify before you have an account for it. The store is password protected and can't accept real payments until you claim it, so you can review what v0 built before you take ownership.
You start the claim from v0, and claiming the store also starts your free trial. To finish setup afterward, refer to setting up a store created with an AI tool or vibe code partner.
To connect a store that you already own, you sign in to Shopify from v0 and approve the data access that v0 requests. To review what you're approving, refer to authorizing AI tool access to your store.
Setting up your domain with v0 by Vercel
You buy or connect a domain in your Shopify admin under Settings > Domains. Refer to adding a domain for the full process.
Where the domain points depends on which platform hosts your storefront. If Vercel hosts it, then refer to v0's documentation for how to point a domain at the storefront. If your storefront is hosted on Shopify, then you connect the domain to your online store in your Shopify admin. Refer to themes.
Getting help with v0 by Vercel
A store built with v0 by Vercel has 2 companies behind it, so where you go for help depends on what you need. If you're not sure which one to contact, then start with where you noticed the issue: the v0 platform, or your Shopify admin.
Contact Vercel for anything that happens in its platform, such as store generation, prompts, platform errors, the storefront that it builds, and its own billing. Vercel also handles any issue with a store that you haven't claimed or connected yet. For help from Vercel, refer to Vercel Support. For how v0 works with Shopify, refer to v0's Shopify storefront page.
Contact Shopify Support for your Shopify account and the commerce side of your store. For a breakdown of who to contact for each type of issue, refer to getting help with a store created with an AI tool or vibe code partner.
