Building a Shopify store with Lovable

Creating or connecting a store with Lovable
Lovable can create a new Shopify store for you, or connect a store that you already own.
When Lovable creates a store, the store exists on Shopify before you have an account for it. The store is password protected and can't accept real payments until you claim it, so you can review what Lovable built before you take ownership. You start the claim from Lovable, and claiming the store also starts your free trial. To finish setup afterward, refer to setting up a store created with an AI tool or vibe code partner.
To connect a store that you already own, you sign in to Shopify from Lovable and approve the data access that Lovable requests. To review what you're approving, refer to authorizing AI tool access to your store.
Setting up your domain with Lovable
Lovable hosts the storefront that it builds, so your domain points at Lovable and your checkout runs on Shopify.
You buy or connect a domain in your Shopify admin under Settings > Domains. Refer to adding a domain for the full process, and to Lovable's documentation for how to point a domain at a storefront that Lovable hosts.
If you move to a Shopify-hosted storefront instead, then you connect the domain to your online store in your Shopify admin. Refer to themes.

A store built with Lovable has 2 companies behind it, so where you go for help depends on what you need. If you're not sure which one to contact, then start with where you noticed the issue: the Lovable platform, or your Shopify admin.
Contact Lovable for anything that happens in its platform, such as store generation, prompts, platform errors, the storefront that it builds, and its own billing.
