Default receipt printer

Shopify POS uses the default printer for receipt printing. If the default printer is unavailable, then Shopify POS can prompt you to select an available backup printer for that receipt. If you have more than one printer, then you can change the default printer from Shopify POS.

Steps:

  1. From Shopify POS, tap the Connectivity Icon icon.
  2. Under Receipt printers, tap the printer that you want to set as the default.
  3. Tap Set as default receipt printer.

After you've set up your default receipt printer, a brief diagnostic report prints. After this, you should print a test receipt to confirm that everything is working.

Steps:

  1. From Shopify POS, tap the Connectivity Icon icon.
  2. Under Receipt printers, tap the printer that you set as the default.
  3. Tap Test receipt printer.
