Inventory management
You can create products in your Shopify admin and then use your Shopify admin or Shopify POS to track, adjust, count, receive, and manage inventory based on the workflow. Some workflows, such as creating inventory transfers, require the Shopify admin. A product's inventory is the quantity of a particular product that's available for sale in your store.
Managing your inventory can help you avoid selling more stock than you have, identify when you need to order or make more products, and understand when you have too much stock.

When you're working in Shopify POS, you can search for products and view product information before making inventory changes. To find products from Shopify POS, review Searching for products in Shopify POS or Viewing product metafield data from Shopify POS.
