• The LCD display included with the Epson FP-81 II RT Receipt Printer can’t be used as a customer-facing display with Shopify POS.

You can't add another fee, for example, the revenue stamp, to orders processed with Shopify POS.

The Epson FP-81 II RT Receipt Printer connects to your network using an Ethernet cable. To use this printer, you must have a network set up in your location and a router that you can connect to your printer to using an Ethernet cable.

Steps:

1. Connect your printer to the power supply and turn the receipt printer on using the power switch.
2. Insert a roll of thermal printing paper into the printer.
3. Connect the receipt printer to the Ethernet port on your router and verify that your Network and SSL connection are activated in your printer settings. This makes the printer discoverable in the Shopify POS app.
4. In Shopify POS, tap the icon, and then tap + Add hardware.
5. Tap Receipt printer.
6. Shopify POS scans for available printers. If a printer is found and isn't password protected, then it connects automatically. If a printer is found and is password protected, then you can enter the password to connect. If no printer is found, then you can enter the DHCP address to connect.
7. Confirm that your printer is connected under Receipt Printers.

After connecting your printer, don't forget to:

• Set it as the default printer (optional)
• Print a test receipt
• Test the connection to the cash drawer (if applicable)

Turn on your SSL connection for the Epson FP-81 II RT Receipt Printer

You can turn onn your SSL connection for your receipt printer.

Steps:

1. Connect your keypad and display to the printer.
2. On the numeric keypad, enter 3333 and then press Chiave. The custom screen will display S - SCELTA FUNZIONE.
3. Enter 34, and then press Contante until WEB SERVER: SSL displays.
4. Change X to 1 and then press Contante.
5. Press Chiave to exit the menu, and then restart the printer.

Steps:

1. Connect your keypad and display to the printer.
2. On the numeric keypad, enter 3333 and then press Chiave. The custom screen will display S - SCELTA FUNZIONE.
3. Enter 19, and then press with Contante to enter the LAN configuration.
4. Enter 1 to activate DHCP, and then press Contante. The DHCP address displays.
5. Press the , button and then Chiave to exit the menu.
6. Optional: If you want to print network connection information, then press Sub Totale.

When you connect your receipt printer to Shopify POS, you can send all recorded transactions to your local tax authority for all devices connected to the same printer.

You can manually send fiscal closing data by tapping Send fiscal closing, or you can activate a setting to automatically send fiscal closing data daily at the end of each day.

1. From Shopify POS, tap the icon, and then tap RT.
2. Tap Send fiscal closing to make changes.
3. Toggle the Automatically send fiscal closing daily at 23:59 on or off.
