Settlement times for Shopify Payments in France
Settlement time refers to the amount of time between the moment that a customer's payment is captured and when those funds are available to be sent to your bank account. The timestamp for capturing a customer's payment is recorded in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). Payments captured on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are consolidated and sent as a single payout.
Shopify Payments in France uses multiple payment processing partners so that your payments and payouts are processed without interruption. Although your payouts are sent from Shopify, they're processed by these partners. You might receive some payouts sooner than the scheduled payout date, and more than one payout per day.
In France, the pay period for transferring funds from your Shopify Payments sales to your bank account is 3 days. The actual date when the funds are available in your account depends on your bank's processing times. You can customize this pay period to a daily, weekly, or monthly payout schedule. You can't receive payouts on weekends or public holidays.
When you switch from one payout schedule to another, any pending payouts are delayed until the next applicable payout date under your new schedule. For example, if you normally receive payments weekly on Mondays and you change your payout schedule to every Friday on the preceding Thursday, then your funds aren't available until Friday of the following week. Consider avoiding frequent changes to your pay period to prevent delays in receiving your payouts. Learn more about scheduling your payouts.

Receiving payouts in multiple currencies with Shopify Payments in France
If your store is on the Advanced plan or the Shopify Plus plan, then you can choose any supported payout currency as your default payout currency. Review the following considerations for Multi-Currency Payout fees and currency exchange fees:
- If your default payout currency is your EUR domestic currency, then you won't incur Multi-Currency Payout fees.
- If you set up additional bank accounts for payouts, then Multi-Currency Payout fees apply based on your location and Shopify plan.
- If orders are placed in a currency that isn't set up for payouts on your Shopify Payments account, then they're paid out to your default currency bank account.
- If your default currency bank account is in a non-domestic currency, then you incur a currency exchange fee.
- If orders are in your domestic currency and paid out to a bank in your domestic region, then you aren't charged extra fees, even if your domestic currency isn't your default payout currency.
If you use Shopify Payments in France and choose a non-domestic currency such as USD as your default currency, then any payouts that you receive are charged a Multi-Currency Payout fee depending on your location and Shopify plan.

Because Shopify Payments in France uses multiple payment processing partners, your bank statement might use a payment processing partner name for your payout statement name instead of the Shopify Payments name. This is expected, and your funds are still processed through Shopify Payments.
You can customize your payout statement name in your Shopify Payments settings. However, depending on which payment processor handles the transaction, your bank might use a payment processing partner name instead of your custom name.
