Setting up TikTok Shop

You can set up the TikTok sales channel to connect to TikTok Shop and sync catalog, inventory, fulfillment, and orders between Shopify and TikTok Shop. Connecting TikTok Shop to Shopify can let you reach TikTok's audience and manage orders from one place.

Store requirements for TikTok Shop

To use TikTok Shop, your store needs to meet the following requirements:

Your store needs to have a verifiable address in your Locations settings.
Your store needs to be located in the following countries: the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain, Ireland, France, Italy, Germany, Mexico, Japan, or Brazil.
You need to have an online store, and a TikTok for Business account. If you don't have a TikTok Shop or TikTok for Business account, then you can create one as part of the onboarding process within the TikTok App for Shopify.
You need to display a return policy page on your online store. Learn more about setting up your return rules and return policy.

Product requirements for TikTok Shop

Your products need to meet TikTok's product guidelines for your region:

Set up TikTok Shop

If you meet the requirements to use TikTok Shop, then you can install the TikTok sales channel, and set up TikTok Shop in your Shopify admin.

Steps:

From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Sales channels.
Click Shopify App Store.
If applicable, then log in to continue to the Shopify App Store.
From the Shopify App Store, search for TikTok to learn more about the sales channel.
Click Add channel.
On the Set up TikTok Shop page, in the TikTok Shop section, click Connect.
In the Sign Up dialog, do either of the following:
- If you already have a TikTok for Business account, then click Log in.
- To register as a merchant on TikTok, fill in the Phone number, Email, and Password fields, and then click Register as merchant.
On the Connect to Shopify? dialog, review the TikTok Shop Merchant Terms of Service, and then click Connect.
In the Shop information section, click Verify to verify your shop information.
In the Upload Documents dialog, complete the required fields, and then click Next.
Click Finish setup.

Support for TikTok Shop

TikTok Shop is operated and supported directly by TikTok. If you need help with anything related to using TikTok Shop with Shopify, then contact TikTok Shop support. You can also click Get Support in the TikTok sales channel.

Location address error

If you receive a "Your products couldn't be synced to TikTok due to a location address issue" error, then your warehouse or fulfillment location information needs to be updated in Shopify. TikTok Shop requires valid warehouse address and phone information to successfully sync your product catalog.

Ensure that the following is true of the location address in Settings > Locations:

Verify that your location name is 35 characters or fewer. If it's longer, then shorten it.
Verify that the location address in Shopify matches the address on Google Maps. If it doesn't match, then update the address to match what displays in Google Maps.
