Invitations on the Shopify Collective sales channel

You can invite retailers that use Shopify to connect and start selling your products. Retailers that you invite need to meet specific requirements. After a retailer accepts your invitation to connect, you receive an email notification.

Retailers that already use Shopify Collective and have your contact details can invite you to connect.

To connect with a retailer, both of your stores need to be in the same supported country and using the same supported currency.

Inviting retailers to connect on Shopify Collective

You can find and view retailers to invite through your Discovery section, or you can invite a retailer to connect on Shopify Collective using their email address.

When you invite a retailer by email, they receive a message inviting them to connect with you and start selling your products. They're prompted to install the Shopify Collective app in their Shopify admin to accept your invitation, and then they have instant access to import any products that you shared with your invitation.

Invite a retailer by email

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Sales channels > Collective: Supplier.

  2. Click Retailers, and then click Invite retailer.

  3. In the Email address field, enter the retailer's email address.

  4. Click the Price lists field, and then do any of the following:

    • To create a new price list for the retailer, click Create price list.
    • To add one of more of your existing price lists, select the price list from the menu.
  5. In the Your message field, add an invitation message for the retailer.

  6. Click Send.

After a retailer accepts your invitation or you accept their invitation, or after a retailer imports products from a public price list, they become a connection in Shopify Collective.

  • The total sales from the retailer.
  • The number of products that the retailer has imported from your price lists.
  • The date on which you connected with the retailer.
  • The type of any product access that the retailer has with you, through either public price lists or private price lists.
  • Whether or not you collect tax from the retailer.

You can also click a specific retailer to view the following additional information:

  • The retailer's average order value.
  • The price lists that are assigned to the retailer, including product counts and associated margins.
  • If automatic payments are on or off with the retailer.
  • The policies that the retailer has set up.

Steps:
