Paying for Shop Campaigns

Each time an order is placed as a result of a Shop Campaign, it's attributed to Shop Campaigns, and you're billed accordingly. Use this page to learn more about Shop Campaigns billing.

Shop Campaigns order attribution

After an order is attributed to Shop Campaigns, a Shop Cash offers acquired tag is applied to both the customer and order.

An order is attributed to Shop Campaigns in the following cases:

  • A customer that meets your campaign's audience criteria redeems an offer towards a purchase from your store on Shop or Shop on the web.
  • A customer that meets your campaign's audience criteria makes a purchase from your store on Shop or Shop on the web after viewing an ad for your offer, store, or products.

Shop Campaigns billing

Each time an order is attributed to Shop Campaigns, charges are added to your Shopify bill. These charges are listed on your bill as Shop Campaigns charges. If an attributed order is cancelled or refunded, then your customer acquisition costs aren't refunded.

There's no prefunding required to create a Shop Campaign. If you receive a Shop Campaigns credit through Shopify Credit or as a promotional offer, then the credit is applied to your campaign budget. Any remaining charges for your campaign are added to your bill. If a credit note is issued for one of your bills, then you can download the credit note from that bill. Depending on your store's location, Shop Campaigns charges might have taxes applied to them. To learn more, refer to Shopify billing and tax responsibilities.
