Syncing your online store home page content with Shop Store
You can keep your Shop Store up to date and match your online store home page branding by syncing supported home page content from your online store to your Shop Store. You can sync your Shop Store to bring home page merchandising, such as campaign content, collections, and products, into your Shop Store without recreating the same content in the Shop sales channel.
Syncing only updates your Shop Store in the Shop app and on the Shop website. It doesn't change your online store theme or SEO. If your store is selected for automatic syncing, then your Shop Store can update without you manually syncing content.

Considerations for syncing online store home page content with Shop Store
Before you sync your online store home page content with Shop Store, review the following considerations:
- Syncing to Shop Store is available only for stores that use Online Store 2.0 themes and are manually selected for access. If your store uses a vintage theme or a headless storefront, then syncing isn't currently available.
- Syncing is turned on automatically for selected stores that aren't on the Shopify Plus plan and don't have prior Shop Store merchandising.
- If your store is on the Shopify Plus plan or has prior Shop Store merchandising, then you receive 30 days' notice before syncing is turned on automatically.
- To manually edit synced content, you need to turn off syncing.
- When you turn syncing back on, manual content edits are replaced with the latest synced content from your online store.
Content that syncs from your online store to Shop Store
Syncing uses supported home page content from your online store to create Shop Store sections. Synced content can include the following types of sections:
- Image, video, slideshow, and carousel media
- Collection rows and collection grids
- Product rows and product grids
- Shop-the-look images with product hotspots
- Story tiles
- Quick links to categories, collections, or shopping paths
- Value propositions
- Press quotes, as-seen-in logos, or other social proof sections
- Embedded social media posts
Syncing matches supported online store content to Shop Store sections when compatible. Some online store sections don't sync because they can't be identified or aren't compatible with available Shop Store sections.
Content that doesn't sync from your online store to Shop Store
Syncing doesn't sync the following content from your online store:
- Product detail page blocks
- Standalone navigation or menu sections
- About pages, FAQ pages, or other non-home page pages
- Any other deeper online store pages

Troubleshooting syncing your Shop Store
Troubleshoot unavailable syncing access
Syncing becomes available to merchants on a rolling basis, so eligible stores don't all get access at the same time. Review the considerations for syncing online store home page content with Shop Store to confirm whether your store meets the current requirements.
Troubleshoot sections missing from your synced Shop Store
Some online store sections can't be identified by syncing or aren't compatible with available Shop Store sections. You can turn off syncing and manually edit your Shop Store to add or adjust content.
Troubleshoot cropped or low-quality synced images
For best results, use vertical or mobile-optimized images on your online store home page. For header media, use images that are close to the Shop Store background media requirements. You can also turn off syncing and upload images directly to your Shop Store sections.
Troubleshoot incorrect synced content
If titles, copy, images, or destination links don't match what you want to display in your Shop Store, then turn off syncing and manually edit your Shop Store content.
