Connect Shopify to WordPress

To connect your Shopify business to your WordPress site, you need to install and activate the Shopify plugin in your WordPress admin, and then install the Sell on WordPress sales channel in your Shopify admin.

Install and activate the Shopify plugin in WordPress

  1. Download the Shopify plugin.
  2. From your WordPress admin, go to the Plugins page.
  3. Click Upload plugin, and then choose the shopify-plugin.zip folder that you downloaded.
  4. After the installation is complete, click Activate.

Install the Sell on WordPress sales channel in Shopify

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Sales channels.

  2. Click Shopify App Store.

  3. Optional: If you're not logged in, then log in to continue to the Shopify App Store.

  4. From the Shopify App Store, search for and then click Sell on WordPress.

  5. From the Sell on WordPress sales channel listing, click Install.

Connect Shopify to your WordPress site

To connect both platforms, you need to have already installed both the Shopify plugin in WordPress and the Sell on WordPress sales channel in your Shopify admin.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Sales channels.

  2. Click Sell on WordPress.

  3. Locate the Shopify access token, and then click the Clipboard icon.

  4. In your WordPress admin, navigate to Shopify plugin.

  5. Click Settings > General.

  6. Paste your Shopify access token in the SHOPIFY ACCESS TOKEN field.

  7. Click Connect.

Deactivate the Shopify plugin

  1. From your WordPress admin, go to Plugins.
  2. Navigate to the Shopify plugin, and then click Deactivate.

Uninstall the Sell on WordPress sales channel

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Sales channels.

  2. Click Sell on WordPress.

  3. Click the Horizontal menu icon.

  4. Click Uninstall.

Disconnect Shopify from your WordPress site

After you disconnect your Shopify store from your WordPress site, all products currently displayed on your WordPress site are also disconnected. This means that your customers can't view or purchase your products.

Steps:

  1. From your WordPress admin, navigate to Shopify plugin.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. In the General section, click Disconnect from Shopify.
  4. Click Confirm.
