Managing your Temu orders, shipping, and returns

When you sell on Temu, you can fulfill orders from Temu in the Orders page of your Shopify admin in the same way that you usually fulfill other orders, or you can create shipping labels directly through the Temu sales channel.

To ensure that orders sync correctly, you need to activate order synchronization and map your shipping carriers between Shopify and Temu.

You must respond to return and refund requests within 24 hours to comply with Temu's policies.

Activate order synchronization

When you set up order synchronization, any orders that are confirmed and marked as paid on Temu are then synced as Unfulfilled to the Orders page in your Shopify admin.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Sales channels > Temu.

  2. Click Orders Management, and then click Order fulfillment setting.

  3. In the Order fulfillment setting dialog, activate the Whether to enable the order synchronization? setting.

  4. Click Submit.

Map shipping carrier names

Because Temu and Shopify might have slightly different naming conventions for the same shipping carrier, you can set up matches between the two systems.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Sales channels > Temu.

  2. Click Orders Management, and then click Order fulfillment setting.

  3. In the Order fulfillment setting dialog, click Add new shipping relationship.

  4. Select a Shopify express company name, and then select a matching Temu logistics service provider name.

  5. Optional: To match other shipping carriers, repeat steps 3 and 4.

  6. Click Submit.

Buy shipping labels

You can create shipping labels for your Temu orders in the Temu sales channel. A pre-estimated shipping cost displays after you enter the package details, such as weight and dimensions. The final shipping cost displays after you choose the shipping carrier service that you want to use for an order. Depending on the carrier service that you select, you can choose to either drop off a package for carrier handling or schedule a package pickup.

When you create a Temu shipping label, the relevant order in your Shopify admin updates to Fulfilled status, and the shipping carrier and tracking information are added to the order.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Sales channels > Temu.

  2. Click Orders Management.

  3. Create your shipping labels:

    • For a single order, click Buy shipping in the Actions column of the relevant order.
    • For multiple orders in bulk, select the relevant orders, and then click Buy shipping.
  4. Complete the required fields, and then click Buy shipping.

Handling return and refund requests

If you receive a return or refund request in your Temu sales channel, then you need to review and respond to the request within 24 hours in line with Temu's return and refund policies. Requests that aren't dealt with in this timeframe are automatically handled according to the platform policy.

You can reject refunds only in the Temu Seller Center.

Refund a Temu order

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Sales channels > Temu.

  2. Click Manage returns.

  3. In the Pending actions tab, for the Temu order that you want to refund, click Issue refund > Confirm refund.
