On this page, you can find out about installing the StockX sales channel, connecting your StockX account to Shopify, and how to configure your products for selling on StockX.
On this page
Install the StockX sales channel
- Go to the StockX app page on the Shopify App Store.
- If you're already logged in to your Shopify account, then click Install. Otherwise, click Log in to install and follow the prompts to log in to your Shopify account.
- On the Install app page, click Install.
Set up the StockX sales channel
From your Shopify admin, go to Sales channels > StockX.
In the StockX Account section, click Connect.
In the Are your items sellable on StockX? dialog, review the product categories and brands, and then click Yes I sell these items if you have the relevant products.
To connect your StockX account to Shopify, log in with your StockX account details.
Configuring your products for selling on StockX
After you install and set up the StockX sales channel in your Shopify admin, make sure that only the products you want to sell on StockX are made available to the StockX sales channel.
When you begin the Inventory matching process, all products that are made available to the StockX sales channel are automatically sent for matching with the StockX catalog.
The first time that you carry out inventory matching, consider testing with fewer than 10 products made available to the StockX sales channel, to ensure that they're listed correctly on StockX.
Exclude products from the StockX sales channel
From your Shopify admin, go to Products.
Select the products that you don't want to sell on StockX, and then click
> Exclude from sales channels.
In the dialog, select StockX, and then click Exclude products.
Setting up your products for inventory matching
Each product that you want to sell on StockX must be set up to match an existing product in the StockX catalog. You can take either of the following actions to prepare your products for matching:
- Use the correct Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) in the Barcode field of the relevant products in your Shopify admin. Learn more about barcodes on the product details page.
- If you want to set up products that have size variants, but you don't have the GTIN, then use the correct StockX Style ID with the default StockX Style ID product metafield definition, and the correct size values with the default StockX Size Chart product metafield definition and the default StockX Size variant metafield definition.

Add StockX metafields to your products
From your Shopify admin, go to Products.
Click a product that you want to set up for matching to the StockX catalog.
In the Metafields section, do the following:
- Add the correct StockX Style ID as the metafield value for the default StockX Style ID metafield definition.
- Select the correct StockX Size Chart as the metafield value for the default StockX Size Chart metafield definition.
In the Variants section, click a variant of the product that you're setting up.
In the Metafields section of the variant, enter a numerical-only size value for the StockX Size metafield definition. The Size value must correspond to the values that are available in the relevant Size Chart that you use. For example, if you set US M as a product's Size Chart metafield definition, then the Size values that you use for that product's variants must correspond to US M.
Click Save.
Optional: For any further product variants, click the next variant, and then repeat steps 5 and 6.
