Setting up the Newegg Marketplace sales channel

To start selling on Newegg, you need to install the Newegg Marketplace sales channel, connect your Newegg account to Shopify, and set up your products for syncing them to Newegg.

Install the Newegg Marketplace sales channel

  1. Go to the Newegg Marketplace app page on the Shopify App Store.
  2. If you're already logged in to your Shopify account, then click Install. Otherwise, click Log in to install and follow the prompts to log in to your Shopify account.
  3. On the Install app page, click Install.

Connect your Newegg account to Shopify

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Sales channels > Newegg Marketplace.

  2. Select the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy checkbox.

  3. Click Connect Newegg Marketplace account.

  4. To connect your Newegg account to Shopify, log in with your Newegg account details, and then click CONFIRM to authorize the connection.

Syncing your products to Newegg

After you install the Newegg Marketplace sales channel and connect your Newegg account to Shopify, make sure that any of your Shopify products that you don't want to sell on Newegg are excluded from the sales channel.

You need to complete Category Mapping, Brand Mapping, and Price Rules Settings before you can sync your products to Newegg and publish them for sale. You also need to follow these steps for any new product types that you add to your Shopify store, and for any new brands that you sell.

Add category mapping for your product types

You need to select your Shopify product types and match them to Newegg product categories.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Sales channels > Newegg Marketplace.

  2. In the Publishing section, click Add Category Mapping.

  3. In the Category Mapping section, click Add, and then in the Add Category Mapping dialog, do the following:

    1. In the Shopify section, click the Product Type field, and then select one or more of your Shopify product types.
    2. In the Newegg section, click the Category dropdown menu and select a matching product category for your Shopify product type.
    3. Click the Subcategory drop-down menu and select a matching product subcategory for your Shopify product type.
    4. Click Save.

  4. Optional: Repeat step 3 for all the Shopify product types that you need to add category mapping for.

Add brand mapping for your product vendors

You can match your product vendors in Shopify to existing brands in Newegg in the following ways:

  • Complete the brand mapping steps in this section.
  • Let the Newegg Marketplace sales channel automatically find a vendor-to-brand match when you sync your products.

You can match a Newegg brand with multiple Shopify vendors, but you can match a Shopify vendor to only a single Newegg brand. For example, if you have Lenovo US and Lenovo UK vendors on Shopify, then you can map them both to a single Lenovo brand on Newegg.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Sales channels > Newegg Marketplace.

  2. In the Publishing section, click Add Brand Mapping, and then click Add.

  3. In the Add Brand Mapping dialog, do the following:

    1. In the Shopify section, click the Vendor field, and then select one or more of your Shopify product vendors.
    2. In the Newegg section, in the Brand field, start entering a brand name and then select the Newegg brand that you want to match your vendor or vendors to.
    3. Click Save.

  4. Optional: Repeat step 3 for all the Shopify product vendors that you need to add brand mapping for.

Set up price rules for all products or individual product types

You can keep your products' default Shopify price when you sell on Newegg, or you can set price adjustments for your Newegg listings across all your products or for each of your individual product types.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Sales channels > Newegg Marketplace.

  2. Click Settings.

  3. In the Price Rules Settings section, click Pricing Settings:

    1. To increase or decrease the price of all your Newegg listings from the default Shopify price, in the Account Price Rule section:
      1. From the Adjustment Type dropdown menu, select Percentage Adjustment.
      2. In the Newegg Selling Price field, set a percentage price markup or price markdown.
    2. To increase or decrease the price for individual product types, in the Per Product Type Price Rules section:
      1. From the Adjustment Type dropdown menu, select Percentage Adjustment.
      2. In the Newegg Selling Price field, set a percentage price markup or price markdown.
    3. To keep your default Shopify prices when you sell on Newegg, select Default Shopify Price in both the Account Price Rule and Per Product Type Price Rules sections.

  4. Click Save.

Set up bulk price rules for individual products

You can also optionally set price adjustments at the individual product level.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Sales channels > Newegg Marketplace.

  2. Click Products.

  3. Use the checkboxes to select the products that you want to set price rules for.

  4. Click Bulk Price Rules.

  5. For each product, click the Select an adjustment type dropdown menu, and then do any of the following:

    1. To increase or decrease the individual product's price by a percentage, select Percentage Adjustment, and then set a percentage price markup or price markdown.
    2. To increase or decrease the individual product's price by a fixed amount, select Fixed Amount Adjustment, and then set a fixed amount price markup or price markdown.
    3. To keep the individual product's default Shopify price, select Default Shopify Price.

  6. Click Save.

Set up automatic product sync

After you've completed the category mapping, brand mapping, and price rules steps, you can sync your products and publish your listings on Newegg.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Sales channels > Newegg Marketplace.

  2. Click Settings.

  3. In the Automatic product sync section, select the checkbox.

You can then view your products in the Products section of your Newegg Marketplace sales channel and in your Newegg Seller Portal.

Disconnect your Newegg account from Shopify

You can disconnect your Newegg account from the Newegg Marketplace sales channel in Shopify at any time.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Sales channels > Newegg Marketplace.

  2. Click Settings.

  3. In the Newegg Marketplace store account section, click Disconnect.

  4. In the dialog, click Confirm.

Getting support for selling on Newegg with Shopify
