Shopify Plus trial
The Shopify Plus trial is available to eligible merchants and provides access to most of the features of the Shopify Plus plan for a limited time. You can review the features of the Plus trial and compare them to the Plus plan features. The trial length is 1 to 2 months, depending on your store status. Pricing
The Shopify Plus trial is a paid trial. The cost depends on your billing currency:
- $399 USD per month
- $517 CAD per month
- €384 EUR per month
- £344 GBP per month
- $575 AUD per month
- ₹30,164 INR per month
- ¥58,500 JPY per month
- $531 SGD per month
Your business location determines the currency displayed. If you take no action by the end of your trial, then your store is automatically enrolled in a full Plus plan. Local currency billing for new merchants on the full Plus plan is available in India (INR), European Union countries (EUR), United Kingdom (GBP), Australia (AUD), Japan (JPY), and Canada (CAD). If your billing address isn't located in those countries, then your billing currency becomes USD at the end of your trial. The terms and duration of the Plus plan are based on the options you select during trial setup. The trial length is 1 to 2 months, depending on your store status.
Start the Plus trial
If you’re eligible for the Plus trial, then you can start your Shopify Plus trial from your Shopify admin.
Steps:
From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Plan.
In the Plan details section, click Change plan.
Click Select Plus or Try Plus.
Follow the on-screen steps to select the Plus trial.
When the Plus trial ends
The Plus trial length is 1 to 2 months, depending on your store status. If you don't take any action by the end of your trial, then your store is automatically enrolled in a full Plus plan. The terms and duration of the plan are based on the options you select during trial setup. Billing for the full Plus plan is in USD unless your billing currency is INR.
Upgrade to the Plus plan early
If you want to upgrade to a full Plus plan before your trial ends, then you can upgrade in your Shopify admin.
Steps:
From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Plan.
In the Plan details section, click Upgrade early.
Confirm your term length (1 year or 3 years).
Review your payment information.
Click I accept and agree.
Click Subscribe.
Considerations before you cancel your Plus trial
When you downgrade from your Plus trial, you lose access to several Plus-exclusive features, including:
- Plus-only B2B features (unlimited catalogs, direct catalog assignment, deposits, partial payments)
- Hydrogen Storefronts
- Shopify Audiences
- Launchpad events
- Combined Listings app
- App blocks on checkout pages
Before you cancel or downgrade from your Shopify Plus trial, review the following important considerations to ensure a smooth transition and avoid unexpected disruptions to your store:
- Each Shopify subscription plan has different limits for inventory locations, and staff accounts. If you have more active markets, locations, or staff than your new plan allows, then any that exceed the new limits are deactivated automatically after you downgrade.
- Check any third-party apps you use for plan-specific features. You might lose access to certain app functionality if your new plan doesn't support those features.
- After downgrading, you have access to only one public Hydrogen Storefront, which defaults to your original storefront. You can switch which storefront is public at any time after downgrading.
- Core B2B features (companies, up to 3 catalogs, net payment terms, self-serve ordering) are retained on all plans. You lose access to Plus-only B2B features such as unlimited catalogs, direct catalog assignment to companies, deposit requirements, and partial payments. - Any app blocks that you added to checkout pages during your trial are removed. App blocks on the Thank you and customer accounts pages remain. Review and test your checkout page after downgrading, and check any third-party checkout apps for continued compatibility.
- Shopify Audiences remains installed, but you can't access its features. Your audiences are renamed to include [Not maintained since YYYY-MM-DD], and you lose access to benchmarks. You can uninstall Shopify Audiences at any time.
Additionally, custom apps no longer have access to Shopify Functions. If you use third-party calculated shipping rates, then these rates are deactivated unless your new plan includes carrier-calculated shipping.
Cancel your Plus trial
You can cancel your Shopify Plus trial from the Shopify admin.
Steps:
From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Plan.
Click Change plan.
Choose the plan you want to downgrade to.
Review the changes and click I understand and agree to these changes.
Click Got it.
Review your new plan and payment information, then click Confirm.
