Display store policies and important information on the checkout page for Japan

When selling in Japan, it's important to provide clear legal policies and important information to your customers.

Required pages for using Shopify Payments in Japan

If you use Shopify Payments in Japan, then you're required to have a legal notice containing information for the Specified Commercial Transactions Act (特定商取引法に基づく表記). This page should be displayed both on your online store and at your checkout page, so that customers can always easily review it. Even if you don't ship domestically within Japan, all merchants who use Shopify Payments in Japan are required to display this page.

You might also want to provide other information and policies, such as:

  • Terms of service
  • Terms of sale
  • Refund policy
  • Shipping policy
  • Tax information

Add policies to your checkout page
