Setting up shipping for Managed Markets

Before you start shipping with Managed Markets, ensure that you've set up and reviewed your shipping rates.

Download your shipping rate table

You can download a CSV file with your personalized shipping rates. Although you can't use this file to upload or edit rates, it'll help you understand your current shipping configuration. You'll need to change your shipping rates in the Shopify admin directly.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Markets.

  2. Click Managed Markets.

  3. In the Fulfillment options section, click Download rate table.

  4. Click Download.

Configuring shipping rates for your Managed Markets orders

You can add flat rates or carrier-calculated rates to your store. You need to add your rates to all markets that are managed by Managed Markets.

Set up flat shipping rates

When you set up flat shipping rates, you can configure how much you want to charge your customers for the shipping rates. You need to set up flat rates with transit time. The following are the flat rates displayed to your customers at checkout:

  • DHL eCommerce International Parcel Direct and DHL eCommerce International Parcel Standard flat rates are displayed as Economy International
  • DHL Express Worldwide flat rate is displayed as Express International
  • FedEx International Connect Plus®, UPS Standard, and UPS Worldwide Expedited flat rates are displayed as Standard International

Refer to Setting up flat shipping rates to learn more. When you set up your flat rate, you must select Economy International, Standard International, or Express International. It's recommended that you display your flat rate in local currency.

Set up carrier-calculated shipping rates

Carrier-calculated rates are automatically calculated at checkout. The shipping fee that your customer needs to pay depends on multiple factors, such as shipment weight and dimensions, destination address. The following are the carrier-calculated rates that are automatically displayed to your customers at checkout:

  • DHL eCommerce carrier-calculated rate is displayed as DHL eCommerce Parcel International Direct or DHL eCommerce Parcel International Standard
  • DHL Express carrier-calculated rate is displayed as DHL Express Worldwide
  • FedEx carrier-calculated rate is displayed as FedEx International Connect Plus®

You can add UPS carrier calculated rates, or remove any of the default carriers, at any time.

Refer to Setting up carrier-calculated shipping rates to learn more. When you set up your carrier-calculated rate, you must select from the list of Managed Markets services.

Review charges for shipping labels

The cost of your shipping labels are charged to the credit card that's on file for your Shopify account. You can review charges for your shipping labels in your Shopify admin.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Finance.

  2. Click Payouts > View order transactions.

  3. Click More filters > Type

  4. Select Shipping label.
