Printing documents using the Shopify Order Printer app

You can use the Shopify Order Printer app to print invoices,packing slips, and pick lists for your orders from both the Shopify admin and the Shopify POS app.

You can print up to 50 orders at a time with the Shopify Order Printer app. To print more orders, consider exporting orders to a CSV file.

Desktop
  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Orders.
  2. Use the checkboxes to select the orders that you want to print documents for.
  3. Click Horizontal menu, and then click Print with Order Printer.
  4. In the Document section, select the documents that you want to print.
  5. Click Print documents.
Mobile
  1. From the Shopify app, tap the Orders icon .
  2. Tap Horizontal menu or Vertical menu, and then tap Select orders.
  3. Select the orders that you want to print documents for.
  4. Tap Horizontal menu or Vertical menu, and then in the App actions section, tap Print with Order Printer.
  5. In the Document section, select the documents that you want to print.
  6. Tap Print documents.
Desktop
  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Orders.
  2. Click the order that you want to print documents for.
  3. Click More actions, and then click Print with Order Printer.
  4. In the Document section, select the documents that you want to print.
  5. Click Print documents.
Mobile
  1. From the Shopify app, tap the Orders icon .
  2. Tap the order that you want to print your documents for.
  3. Tap Horizontal menu or Vertical menu, and then in the App actions section, tap Print with Order Printer.
  4. In the Document section, select the documents that you want to print.
  5. Tap Print documents.

You can print documents directly from your Shopify POS using the Shopify Order Printer app.

To print your documents using the Shopify Order Printer app on your Shopify POS, you need to add the Order Printer app tile to your smart grid.

Steps:

  1. From the Shopify POS app, go to the Home screen
  2. In the smart grid, tap Order Printer. If the Order Printer app isn't displayed in your smart grid, then you need to add an app tile to your smart grid.
  3. Select the orders that you want to print documents for.
  4. In the Documents section, select the documents that you want to print.
  5. Tap Print documents.
  6. Choose your printing preferences, such as paper size, layout, or orientation, and then tap Print.

Saving a document as a PDF file

When you print documents with the Shopify Order Printer app, your browser's print function is used to print documents. You can use this function to save your documents as PDF files.

Set up default document templates

You can select which documents you want to print by default for each order.

Steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Order Printer.

  2. Click Templates.

  3. Click the document that you want to print by default.

  4. Select Print by default.

  5. Click Save.
