When you use your Shopify Credit business charge card for eligible business purchases, you earn cashback rewards. Your cashback automatically appears as a statement credit on your Shopify Credit account, regardless of how you pay your balance.

This page explains which purchases qualify for cashback rewards, how cashback is calculated, and which providers offer cashback rewards.

Using your Shopify Credit business charge card with vendor accounts

You can use your Shopify Credit business charge card to pay eligible vendors by adding the card directly in the vendor's payment or billing settings. From Shopify admin, the Link your card to vendors option opens the selected vendor's billing or payment settings so that you can update your payment method with that vendor.

Shopify doesn't connect to or store the status of your vendor accounts. After you update your payment method with a vendor, confirm the update directly in that vendor account.

Steps:

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Finance.

2. In the Accounts section, select your Credit account.

3. Click Link your card to vendors or Link your card to vendors to simplify payments and earn rewards.

4. Select the vendor that you want to update.

5. Shopify opens the vendor's billing or payment settings in a new page.

6. In the vendor account, add or update your Shopify Credit business charge card as the payment method.

7. Confirm in the vendor account that the payment method was updated successfully.

Eligible products and services

Cashback rewards are available for purchases from select providers across three main categories. You can earn cashback rewards when you purchase products and services from select providers in the following categories:

• Marketing and advertising
• Shipping and fulfillment
• Wholesale

Transactions made with your Shopify Credit card might display as Card purchase in your transaction list. This label is normal and doesn't mean the purchase is ineligible for cashback. Eligible purchases from supported providers are categorized for rewards separately, and cashback is applied according to the Shopify Credit rewards terms.

Eligible providers for cashback purchases

You can earn cashback rewards from a variety of providers across marketing and advertising, shipping and fulfillment, and wholesale categories. The following table lists providers that you can make eligible purchases from to earn cashback rewards.

Calculating your cashback rewards

Your cashback rewards are calculated based on your spending across eligible categories, with different rates applied to your highest spending category and other categories. You can earn 3% cashback on your highest spending category for up to $250,000 USD in annual eligible purchases, and then 1% thereafter. The $250,000 USD threshold for your highest spending category resets annually on the first day of the calendar month that your Shopify Credit account was approved.

You earn 1% cashback on eligible purchases that you make in the other two categories.

Rewards are forfeited if your Shopify Credit account is closed for any reason. For full details, refer to Section 9 of the Shopify Credit Rewards Terms.
